We are an energetic, adventurous, retired couple who have enjoyed the trusted responsibilities of state park camp hosting over three summers. Next, we are exploring pet & house sitting opportunities. As parents of 5 grown children, looking to get out and about across the USA & Canada, we enjoy hiking, biking, & kayaking, and would love to visit your neck of the woods, care for your home and pets as we do our own, and make fun memories.
We love cats and dogs. (We have 3 cats & 1 dog.) We are calm, laid back & easy-going, esp. with our timid cat. We are vaxxed. Non-smokers. We travel with our very docile, hypoallergenic, 10 yr old Shihpoo. He is a registered & certified therapy dog, who specializes in visiting hospice care centers, and a certified Canine Good Citizen. He was raised from a puppy with our cats and snuggles & sleeps with them. If you have a cat or dog, he would love to meet him/her! (When we travel, one of our daughters watches our cats.)
We began with a cat/house sit in North Carolina. That experience was awesome. From it, we unexpectedly added "chicken care" to our resume :-) . We have also done a dog/cat/house sit in Colorado. And, most recently, we completed a puppy/house sit in Arkansas. And our new Arkansas friend has invited us back to puppy/house sit again this March! :-) We can't wait for our next sitting adventure.
Note: Our dog can be crated to give your pet(s) acclimation time. When pre-visit time allows, we will happily ship an item with his scent on it to introduce him to your fur baby/babies.
